MY STORY

Ups and Downs

THE VOLATILITY OF OPTIONS

As my Calls grew in value, I was selling and buying new calls, with further out expirations and trying to leverage my cash as much as possible.  The next few photos are a quick view of the ups and downs of Options Trading, and why making the correct choices can help limit your risk.  At this point, I was still not adding cash, but I was actively buying and selling.

This process taught me a lot more patience than I have ever been able to muster.  Holding things when it goes down, or even adding can be scary, but this is why stock and option selection is so important.

Keep in mind, I was learning these processes, while trading these options, while navigating a global pandemic, not a typical time for the stock market.

BRINGS US TO TODAY

My strategy has been adapting and advancing since I began buying options in October of 2018, and you can see the growth within my account.  I am not trying to sell anything, I just want to build a community of like-minded people who enjoy investing, talking stocks, sharing ideas, and learning from each other.  If we can all make some money in the meantime, why not? Right?

I am currently holding a handful of stocks (about 10% of my account) and the rest in different forms of options, with a small amount cash reserve.  My plan moving forward is to accumulate cash as I move out of call positions, and wait for what happens next.  I will be selectively buying batches of options, and would like to keep this board updated, if there is any interest.

NOICE TRADES

My purpose in creating this space is to share what I have learned so far, the mistakes and the victories, and what I can do to avoid them and how to begin creating wealth for my family.

I am confident that if you read the explanations, ask clarifying questions, and start super small, you can also start seeing gains and grow the confidence you need to take this forward as part of your life.

If you walk away feeling more comfortable navigating the stock market, especially around options trading, and would like to try Robinhood or switch to it, my referral code is linked here, and I'd greatly appreciate the support.  If you use my code, we will both get a free stock valued from $4-$250?  Again, no pressure, come on in, post on the board and let me know what you think!

Thanks for Reading!
